Thang Livingstone and Family in Cambodia!!

After much prayer, closed doors, and then open doors, our humble missionare in India has relocated to Cambodia.  Initially he had tried to move into Thailandand  he had been doing great ministry there, but could not get a more permanent sittuation.  Since then, God had made it clear that he is needed in Cambodia.  Here is some updates from thang..."Despite going through unexpected tough time of reaching here, all I could see was the hand of the Lord. ( you know that we missed our flight when we start from Guwahati initially, then everything went well as scheduled. Praise the Lord we reached here safely. Now we have got children school also in redeemed maranatha international school run by missionaries from Africa. They have agreed to accept us without any money now but later we can pay if and when we have. We have been given 75% discount on admission fees, books, lunch/foods and tuition. By the grace of God we are fine now but continue to pray for us and for monthly fees and others small basic needs. We have given  $ for the one year visa extension fees, it is in the process now. Praise the Lord. At present we are learning language and focusing on our Landlord who is a medic Doctor. There was persecution sometimes back in the country, things were complicated for missionary but a source say that now it is becoming normal and easy again. The most powerful is the Prime Minister here, and one of his son who studied in US is a strong believer in Christ."

BK Shrestha update

Dear praying friends and families

Thank you very much for your prayers. I couldn’t stop myself from sharing about an amazing open door!

Yesterday, as I left, I had prayed to the Lord that I wanted to share His glorious Gospel if He provides someone to ride with me. I drove about 20km and the Lord reminded me of some things I had forgotten to bring. So I decided to turn around and leave next early morning. So I left  at 4:45am today and drove to Butwal to have launch with a Brother. Right after I drove off after launch, I picked one man from the bus stop where he was waiting for a bus to go where I was going: Nepalgunj. I found out him to be a government officer in the health ministry and working in four districts in the mountains! We talked about one and half hour about the politics and society and business and families! Then he felt asleep for few minutes, but the worst highway kept waking him up!! Then I played a old hymn: Oh Lord create in me a heart for you! Then I told him that it was a hymn about our Creator and I was a Christian. Then he told me that he had a Bible and he likes to read it. He had been to a church 4-5 times without hearing true gospel. Then before the second hymn in the player completed we were in deep conversation about the Gospel. I started from sin and then the only remedy of it in Christ. He asked many questions and I answered for three continuous hours!!! He asked about baptism, Lord’s supper and tithes. I could clearly share the biblical gospel of Grace and the difference between the religions and the true Christianity! We do good works because we are saved, not to try to be saved like in the world religions. Jesus came to punish the sin, not to punish the sinners like in the religions. He came to punish the sin so the sinner can be justified by grace through faith. Oh, it was so good to share! He was so thankful for the Gospel. I told him that I was supposed to arrive yesterday, but God loved you so much that He turned me around yesterday, which I had never done before, and brought me to you at the right time. Then I asked him whether he evaluated himself with the God’s standard of righteousness while I was talking about the Ten Commandments. He told me that he did and realized how much he fell short of it! The Word indeed has the power to change the heart of man. At the end, he received Sacrifice tract and promised to read it. I challenged him to repent and trust in Jesus for his salvation before going to bed tonight, saying we might not see tomorrow and to be cleansed of our sins by the blood of Jesus is the only real wealth and the greatest success in life! Please pray for the soul of Shankar! His name means the main Hindu god shiva!!! What an open door to preach the Gospel to a government officer in the current situation of the country! God can do anything for His glory. To God alone be the glory!

We will head north to the mountains tomorrow morning! Please keep praying!

Thang from Lao Thailand

By the Grace of God, went out for ministry to nongkhai town border of Lao. I am so glad to meet an American missionary couple who have been here for the last 31 years, mainly focusing on tribes of Lao PDR. They supply us a truck full Bibles in Lao and Thai. Praise the Lord. Both of them can speak the local language now. A big inspiration for me. We can visit them when you come. Thailand is a land of freedom we can preach the gospel openly anywhere. Praise God.

I have found a house for renting, a Christian house. Praise God. Now looking for a suitable school, have seen so far two English home schools but the feed are a bit high.. Lordwilling prayerfully planning to negotiate with a school.

I have an opportunity to meet one of our students' teachers American living here since 25 years, he teaches in Thai local language. On the query why still only 1% Christianity in Thailand and He said that for the last 175 years, the missionaries made a huge mistake. They built more hospitals and schools to make them healthier and more educated but they didn't really preach the gospel, they didn't make disciples. He lives in Chiangmai city, 11 hours by bus.

By the grace of God,. Keep me in your prayers. Thanks for your valuable prayers and support.

Thang from Bangkok, Thailand

Dear Lighthouse,
Loving greetings from Thailand. I am so grateful by the grace of God and your support that we could reach this stage in the ministry in our lives. By the grace of God we could do the first evangelism of the new year. sharing the gospel with few families and prayed for the sick man. kindly pray for the man who is sick Mr Ganesh Chhetri 69, as he has accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in his heart, that he may grow in faith in the new life. praise the Lord.   Having planted two churches in my life thus far (looking up for more in the near future) and many baptised and made some genuine disciples. Now by the grace and will of God, after all the necessary paper work is done today.
Lordwillng, tomorrow, I am going to my new mission field ie Khon khaen, in the North East Thailand which is the least reached area in Thailand. The first assignment begins with a three days school of workers for harvest (SOWH) then followed by a two weeks intensive Bible school for Thai and Lao people. I shared my testimony in an English service yesterday in Bangkok where I met a precious veteran couple, a Filipino American. Most of the missionaries are from Philippines country, being a member of Asian nation, they have the advantage edge in mission works. So many are pushing the work of God as people feel the time is near for the Lord to come. Before the Lord return we must fulfill the task of the great commission. Lordwillng I will be speaking in two separate Church, kindly remember me in your prayers. The purpose is to share what God has done in my life, salvation, healings etc to challenge and recruit the young people for the harvest of souls.
In the meantime my second daughter Merika 8 is sick having a swell under her cheek near the throat. Please pray for her healing. It's tough to leave the family but the good Lord will be done. Nothing to worry as my parents are there with my family right now. Thanks much for your precious prayers and sacrificial support. Lordwillng we will harvest together in the near future.

BK in Nepal update

Dear Praying friends and families

"For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing  whereto I sent it." (Isaiah 55:10-11)

God is alwasys faithful and provides for His glory. Thank you very much for your prayres. We just would like to request you to pray for our upcoming trip to the East. After a long time of prayers, finally the Lord has given us His time to hold evangelism seminars in three places in the eastern part of the country. We are sending the literature toaday by transport. The Gospel of John and The Ancient Path in Southeastern language will be sent 10,000 copies each to three places. Then we will supply to the local churches in the seminars. These free literature will be a real blessings to those small village churches that can not affort to buy them, and it will help them greatly to reach their own people. We hope to train many pastors and leaders from many districts.

We have supplied to some pastors and leaders before. But this time it will be with one day of training and encouragement and among many more pastors, leaders and believers as well. Please check out the attached pictures.

Please pray for our safe trip tomorrow. We are leaving right after the Church fellowship and will have to drive at night through the windy mountain road. Please pray for the fruitful ministry and the Lord would encourage His churches to GO and Preach the Gospel, for His Word does not return void!

Thank you very much for your prayers and support! We had a great training in Saptari today and supplied literature to many pastors! Tomorrow we are heading even east to Duhabi for another training! Please keep praying for us!

Glory to Him alone.

Alex & Ahna Daum January Newsletter

Greetings,

The month of December was different than our regular routine of traveling. The first week of December we did our annual “year-end giving” letter stuffing. It also announced the speaker of our annual fundraising event. MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR MARCH 15! We will be having Pastor Chip Ingram speak at this year’s annual fundraising event here in Kearney. It is going to be an amazing night of worship and testimonies! Tickets are available online at www.toddbecker.org. We would love to see many of you there!

The second week of December was Alex and I’s one-year engagement anniversary. On the day before our one-year engagement anniversary, we found out the most exciting news that we want to share with you and that is… We are going to have a BABY! We know without a doubt that this is God’s divine plan because it wasn’t ours. J We are looking forward to what God has for us in 2019!

The third week of December we traveled to a nearby school here in Nebraska and had a great event with the bleachers packed both in the afternoon and the night. I, Alex, had a great conversation with a young man named Wyatt. He was very similar to how I used to be, a hypocrite. But by the grace and mercy of God, as we looked at what Jesus says throughout scripture, he told me at the end of our conversation that he was done “playing games” with God and was ready to repent and surrender his whole life to Jesus!

I, Ahna, talked with Cassie after the afternoon assembly. As I learned more about her, she told me that her dad had committed suicide a few years prior. She was emotional over the passing of her dad. I sympathized with her and then directed the conversation back to focus on her. I asked if she knew where she would go if she died at this moment? In a serious tone Cassie said that she didn’t know where she would go when she died. Before we opened the Bible, I addressed the reliability of scripture. Then we looked at Romans 6:23 and Galatians 5:19-21. She identified that her sin of drinking would lead her to death, which is Hell. Right after that, since she grew up going to church, she started to spout off all the things that she had heard like: “everyone sins” and “God will decides where we go.” Cassie was making excuses and not taking ownership of her sin nor had she repented of them. The Spirit was leading me to show her John 3. Jesus says that you must be BORN AGAIN by the Holy Spirit. I left the conversation by challenging her to read the Bible for herself because there she will find healing and life.

The fourth week of December we had our STINT intern and staff Christmas party. Then we packed up for home. We all went to New Hope Christian Camp & Retreat Center in Platte where we had two whole days to setup our new stage. We added two more screens along with a drum riser and more lights. The band is also coming out with a new song for the New Year. While we were there on Wednesday, we were able to put on a community/youth group night of worship. There were a few students from Platte who came out for their first time to New Hope since the Westerhuis’ tragedy. The message that was repeated that night was how God redeems, restores, and renews. Thursday everyone went back to Kearney and Alex and I were able to stay in SD for Christmas. It was such a blessing being able to see almost all of our families and tell them the exciting news of baby Daum!

We are beyond blessed by your support, and we continue to keep the ministry you have in Corsica and the surrounding areas in our prayers! We love you and are looking forward to meeting with you again in person soon!

May God bless you all,

Alex & Ahna Daum

BK in Nepal update

Thank you very much for your prayers. The Lord gave us great victory in the blanket ministry. Preached and gave out hundreds of John with the blankets. That also opened a door to a Muslim village where we went afterward to give out hundreds of Injils and Other literature! Praise the Lord! Will update on this soon!

Also please pray for tomorrow’s similar outreach in another Village in Siraha district! We have one hundred blankets left and hundreds of Gospel literature! Please keep praying for us and for the Lord’s glory. Then we will head back home tomorrow afternoon!

The Lord gave us another fruitful day! We preached in a Village open air and gave out every house a warm blankets and the written Word! More than 100 houses were reached with the Gospel along with the local government people! We invited them and they appreciated our help! They also requested for the written Word! We step out in faith and the Lord did His work! Also five nomad families were also given blankets and the written Word after preaching openly! It was sad to see their children sleeping on the hay in open tents!

The Lord gave us open doors beyond our plans! Yesterday in a Muslim Village and today with the nomads! Bimu also could gave out 15 blankets to the new mothers and very poor women!

We praise God for open doors even when the government is trying to stop us with strict laws against evangelism!

We just arrived home safely last night after a long drive! Thank you God for keeping us in the mountainous road!

Please pray that the Lord would grow the seeds for His glory!

God bless you!
